Green Bridges

The “Green Bridges: Virtual Exchanges for Climate Action and Social Innovation” project connects young people from Europe (Spain, Germany, Denmark) and Sub-Saharan Africa (Uganda, Guinea, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Nigeria) through a program of interactive digital events. The focus is on urgent needs in the areas of climate education, digital skills, social innovation, and inclusive participation. The consortium of eight organizations guides participants through digital events and group work on real-world problems, leading up to the development and presentation of solutions to relevant stakeholders.

Blue economy lab

BLUE-ECONOMY-LAB is an Erasmus project involving organizations from Colombia, Chile, Germany, and Spain to strengthen the maritime sector in Latin America, particularly in Colombia and Chile. The focus is on new curricula, practical training, and close collaboration between educational institutions, businesses, and local communities. The goal is to promote sustainable fishing, coastal management, and other “Blue Jobs,” with a special emphasis on gender equality and respectful use of marine resources.

 

KIBAHA BEEKEEPING TRAINING CENTER

The Kibaha Beekeeping Project in Tanzania, led by Ibrahim Hussein and supported by Weltweit and the Environmental Conservation Action, aims to harness the region’s rich biodiversity for sustainable economic growth. The project is establishing a Beekeeping Training Center funded by the BMZ Small Project Fund and the Ursula Merz Foundation, offering education and practical experience to new and experienced beekeepers. Through training, market access at trade expos, and environmental conservation efforts, the initiative seeks to increase local income, improve agricultural yields, and protect the Ruvu North Forest, promising a future of sustainable livelihoods and ecological resilience.
